    Garlic Yogurt Sauce

    April 24, 2020 by Neha

This yummy garlic sauce made with Greek yogurt is so delicious and versatile! I've used it in so many ways to liven up a meal. From chicken shawarma to chicken fajitas- it gives any dish a flavor boost!

I love Mediterranean food, especially the delicious sauces! Toum (traditional Lebanese garlic sauce) is one of my absolute favorites! This garlic yogurt sauce isn't as thick as traditional toum but the flavor does not disappoint! If you're looking for a lower calorie option, this sauce is your go to!

I love using Greek yogurt as a base to my sauces! It's thicker and creamier than regular yogurt and I love the extra protein it adds to any dish!

This creamy yogurt sauce with a punch of garlic will add so much flavor to any of your dishes!

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup plain greek yogurt

    • ½ cup garlic cloves (washed and peeled)

    • 1 lemon- juiced

    • ¼ cup oil

    • ½ teaspoon Salt

    Directions

    • In a food processor add garlic and salt and puree for 1-2 minutes. Add lemon and oil and process for another minute or so until you get a paste like texture. Lastly, add yogurt and puree for one more minute. It's ready to use! Optional- I like to have it chilled for at least 3-4 hours.
Store in the fridge in a sealed jar and use it up within 1 week!
